Your Child‘s Safety

- -Your children‘s welfare and happiness is our utmost priority. By putting safety first, your children can feel secure and confident, and you can relax. Our staff are fully qualified, well trained and CRB checked. Our company is regulated and licensed by appropriate bodies.

Below we have compiled a list of what to ask for when choosing your child‘s activity holiday:

CRB Documents

The Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks police records and information held by the ISA (Independent Safeguarding Authority), in order to approve an application to work with children. Everybody whose work includes contact with children should carry an up–to–date CRB check. At ACT 2 CAM we ensure that all our staff obtain Enhanced CRB checks to work with children and carry their original Enhanced CRB disclosure document. It is an essential document which helps to safeguard young people and give parents peace of mind.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

To work lawfully as a Teacher in the UK you must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Unqualified teachers may not legally be known as “Teachers”, although they may be be known as “Instructors”. While we recognise the valid contribution of unqualified instructors to children‘s activities, here at ACT 2 CAM we insist on high quality teacher training and qualifications from our staff.

QTS Standards

Ask for General Teaching Council England (GTCE) Membership

The GTCE is a professional body which keeps records of Qualified Teachers in England. Being a registered, qualified teacher is an important assurance to the public and parents about the high quality of the teacher workforce at ACT 2 CAM.

“The purpose of the GTCE is to protect children and young people by insuring that the conduct and practice of those on the register does not fall short of expected standards”
